Worst game lag ever: Share your story

Lag (n) - The delay (or latency) between an action by a player and the reaction of a video game. A show stopper. Kill joy. The bane of competitive gamers' existence. 

It's my belief that youngling PC gamers suffer from more game lag than most. They're usually the ones without access to capable rigs, discretionary funds, and/or know-how in optimizing their hardware.

Nevertheless, bad lag happens to "good people," even to guys like me who keep their hardware up-to-snuff, shut down resource and network hog applications before gaming, wire in, and use a competent router.

That said, let's hear it? What's the worst game lag you've ever experienced?

lol, your telling me, my computer still uses Pentium, and it's ssooooooo old, 1gig ram, on league of legends I get like 10 fps. worse lag: teamfight in leage of legends, my computer suddenly froze up, and when i finally got un-laged my teamates were were all like "why didn't you do anything!"

dont make fun of the wayz i type.

you might want to get the bigfoot killer2100 gaming netwok card it will help with the lagging BUT you need hight speed internet i have 60 meg service

League of legends for me, I run into river and freeze and I can't move at all my whole team behind me I watch the other team start attacking me and I can't do anything then they ace us and push for the win.

There are alot like many people have said the LOL servers on a bad day have had some bad ones there. The most frustrating though is black ops when you unload a clip in someone then wathc the kill cam and you never fired a a bullet before they killed you.

It would have to be Total Annihilation on multiplayer with so many units on the screen at once and a lousy computer I it would take me at least 2-3 hours to finish a game.

Circa 2000 - Asheron's Call using dialup to go through the Obsidian Plains. There were so many mobs, it was watching a slide show.

Circa 2004 - Lineage II US Open Beta. There were so many players, you would pop the potions icon several times, die, then the item server would catch up and your corpse would expend n pots.

mine would have to be playing redline on a 56k modem through the old Mplayer which was bought out and shutdown by gamespy. But that was the coolest online gaming website ever. OOh an rainbow six (very first one) on Mplayer was also quite laggy. AHHH the day of Pay Per Minute internet

lol anyway mine was the worst lag in Black ops too, it was pathetic, I went through a door, the guy pops out, I SHOOT HIM FIRST then he "kills" me......
to be honest you should really think about how foolish the kill cam "caught" his win .... I didn't shoot according to the kill cam... LoL

I using the Alienware m15x - cant play Black ops on full graphics or i just get very bad FPS lag. Annoying, but it works for lower graphics fine...

I think my worst lags were on CoD4, guy was teleporting 2ft forward then backward and I couldn't hit him, spraying and praying didn't help either.

Through all the differences it is still perfection.
