PC gamers upset over Mass Effect 3 upsell

Bioware this week confirmed rumors that it would charge for an expansion pack alongside the full release of Mass Effect 3 on March 6. Dubbed "From Ashes," the launch day downloadable content is free for players who buy the collector's edition of the game, or pay for it seperatly above the $60 MSRP of the stand alone game.
Consquently, PC gamers aren't happy about the news. Although not the first time a game has fragmented itself at release to encourage new game or collector edition sales, it's certainly one of the more high-profile instances, thanks to Mass Effect 3's galactic anticipation levels.
Mind you, the business strategy is totally Bioware/EA's perogative. After all, it's their trademarked property. But it will be interesting to see what (if any) bad will might come of it.

However, I am disappointed with some of the marketing decisions they've made for ME3. They seem to be milking this last game with the addition of ios games that will have an affect on in game experiences, day one dlc (rather than including it in the standalone game), etc, etc.

the DLC "From Ashes" is only available in the collectors edition. And you can't pre-order that anymore sense they cut it mid janurary. So giving people a chance to download this without having the Collectors is fine with me.
ask yourself this. Would you rather have this ONLY on Collectors like past ME games or at least available to the regular games But becuase it is for Collectors it will cost for all others.

I don't mind that they're uploading DLC; that by itself is great! The more the merrier! But I don't like how they're using this game to roll in the dough, so to speak (yes it could be worse; but they could relax a bit...)
