Poll: What's the most you've ever spent on a rig?
April 26th, 2011

After recommended and optimal upgrades, you can spend well over $7000-8000 on Alienware's top of the line gaming rig. Conversely, you can also snag an Alienware for as little as $600 with the right promo. Those two options obviously won't work for everyone; but it got me thinking:

Just as a side note on this, anodization costs a LOT, at least for a Mac, about $1000 for a MacBook.(*snicker*) Which might explain the price jump, but then that leaves me baffled because my m17x is anodized also (beautiful) and it didn't cost much more than any other gaming laptop would... but if I had the cash to get and Alienware Desktop (which I guess I did once since I got a laptop...) I would most definitely go for the ALX no matter what, that thing is so beautiful.
