I just checked thresh and hes 7800 IP?!!?! i really hope all new champions aren't that much

It's only for the first week after release they are 7800. After the first week they drop to 6300.

Of course this is probably just riot's way of introducing a new price tier -_-

i think they just want people to think about spending more money on RP for day 1 champs.

yeah they are also reducing older champs when new ones come out now though

The point is for less people to have it on first week and to give players time to learn and have some skill with the champ. Helps lighten the amount who buy champs and uses in game. And I'm sure we know how much of a pain it is to select new champs during matchmaking.

And when new champ came out, the price of the oldenst one is reduced to lower tier (for example 6300->4800, 3150-/1350 etc)

I think this is good move. It will reduce numer of new champions in every game.

It was hard enough for me to accumulate 6300 let alone another 1500 on to it. I hope it was the right move.
