Windows 10 Game Mode Will Improve Framerate For Gamers?
Earlier this month, Microsoft confirms that the 'Windows 10 Creators Update' that is coming later this year will include a new feature called 'Game Mode' which Mike Ybarra, Director of Program Management for Xbox (though delivers game technology to Windows 10 too) claims that:
"Our goal is to make Windows 10 the best Windows ever for gaming. With the Creators Update, we’re introducing a new feature called Game Mode. Windows Insiders will start seeing some of the visual elements for Game Mode this week, with the feature being fully operational in builds shortly thereafter. Our vision is for Game Mode to optimize your Window 10 PC for increased performance in gaming.”

The Game Mode feature will only appear when you have Game DVR enabled though it has been said that Game DVR is something that needs to be turned off in order to have the best performance in any PC game. So this may be a dream not come true for PC gamers who want the best performance from games, especially those who have slow computers.
Apparently, from what, leaker @h0x0d, has said, it looks like Windows 'will adjust its resource allocation logic (for CPU/Gfx etc) to prioritize the "Game" when running in "Game mode" '. From Mike Ybarra's Twitter, it seems like the Windows 10 Game Mode will work for other game launchers such as Steam, Battle.net, Origin and UPlay and not just games from Windows Store, which is great news for all PC Gamers out there.
