Games That Are Removed From Steam By Valve Now Have Their Community Items Unmarketable.

Well I guess this won't make the rare interesting ones skyrocket in price at least. You'll just have to put in some extra leg work to get them.

Yes, well it's kind of unfair since people bought the game and got the cards.

Make them into gems?

I guess I'm a little behind on the learning curve.  What is the purpose of buying and selling cards?

Yeah i believe you can probably make them into gems, though cards that have been bought off the market and have a 1 week restriction, will also make their gems have a 1 week restriction if converted. Not sure if the same thing applies to items from banned games, i somewhat doubt that since i don't think the taxes from gem sacks will have any connection to the devs that the cards were originally converted from, so there's no reason why the unmarketable restriction should transfer into gems.

People buy trading cards mostly to create badges so they can level up their profile for various reasons. A lot of games are also given away for free, and people can just earn some small amount of cash for free just by farming those cards from them and selling them off the market.

Same thing with people buying games in general, they just sell the cards that they drop since they only care about playing the game, or they keep the cards for collection purposes, creating badges or just to trade them for other cards.

Ouch. People are need to hunt those cards down now lol.

Wow. Drastic measures! :O  By the time, Valve were probably were becoming so sick of Digital Homicide that they decided to take this step. I won't miss DH's items! :P

However also games like Duke Nukem Megaton Edition were removed from Steam.

Sad if those items could not be marketed anymore, I still miss some of them.
 

What a surprise!

I had plans to sell these cards and buy something good in further sales.

Now perhaps I guess I will trade it to complete the sets and make a badge for level up my profile..

Interesting article but same time hopefully the community items can be scrapped into gems doing the whole pack system some games do like BF1, COD, CSGO, you know. Heh.
