The main character of the original Deus Ex is called Jesus Christ

Deus Ex seventeen years ago undoubtedly marked gaming and still till today is considered as one of the of significant games in history, but also one of the best games ever. Well, actually we have never learned the full name of the protagonist, known as JC Denton. Naturally, it was of interest and speculation, but to the most people was easier to accept that this is some sort of code name rather than banging their heads and arguing for decades.

Yesterday, the producer and game director Warren Spector held a public appearance at the Game Developers Conference, where one fan could not have been more direct when asking whether does the JC stands in the name for "Jesus Christ". Spector confirmed that it really was his intention as is hinted in a few parts of the game when other characters react to players with "Jesus Christ, Denton" or "Jesus Christ, JC!"

But after the applause and delight of the audience he offered the story and explanation. One of his best friends is a writer Bradley Denton for who he says that is one of the best people that he knows and that is so willing to help people that Spector several times in his life found saying "Jesus Christ, Denton. Jesus Christ, Denton. "Spector allegedly was hidden as a character in one of Denton`s books, so it seems that their inspiration is mutual.
