Half of players have already left For Honor on Steam
We have bad news for Ubisoft, but unfortunately not new news when it comes to their new titles with great multiplayer components. The number of active players of For Honor on Steam halved in just two weeks, which is a significant figure considering that more than half of the players are playing the game through Steam. This means that only on that Ubisoft lost a quarter of the community around the game.
Statistical data from GitHyp pages are following this negative trend visually and numerically. The first fall have been seen after the last beta testing before release when the game suddenly played a record 72 thousand people, and only two days later on the day of release at the same time war started just 46 thousand. This is acceptable because not all after the free beta were willing to buy the game, and even with those numbers game found itself in the top 10 played on Steam, but the decline in the number of players continued and is a total of about 56%.
Speaking about the average number of players per hour in the first week after the release this figure has fluctuated between 35 and 40 thousand, next week it fell between 25 and 20 thousand, but last week revolves around 15 and 10 thousand how much in average was measured today . Ubisoft has seen a similar early decline in the number of players with The Division that was left by 57% of the players on Steam in just three weeks.
Ubisoft have tried to return For Honor on its feet by working on servers and sharing bonuses, but nevertheless that generous weekend managed to attract an average of only 17 thousand players per hour. By reading impressions of the players on Steam it is clear that many of them enjoy the game, but there are problems with Ubisoft's peer-to-peer connection and unstable servers because of which they can`t play.
