No, You Can't Play as a Nazi in Call of Duty: WWII's Campaign.

Bad news if you were hoping to play as a Nazi soldier in Call of Duty: World War II's campaign: Sledgehammer Games has confirmed you'll strictly be limited to controlling Allied forces troops.

As first reported by GamesRadar, there was initial confusion over whether you would play as German soldiers for a part of the shooter's story mode, mainly because you can choose to fight as Axis characters in the game's multiplayer. Creative director Bret Robbins further muddied the issue during a recent making of livestream, when he teased folk by saying, "Let's leave that one to mystery," when quizzed on the topic.

Well, someone went ahead and straight up asked Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey whether or not they'd get the chance to play as an Axis character during the single-player component of COD: WWII. Suffice to say, the answer is definitive...

Hope that clears things up, recruits.

Call of Duty: World War II launches on PC, PS4 and Xbox One globally on November 3.
