EA announced A Way Out, a game in which two men escape from prison
Josef Fares, a writer and director of co-op game Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons has revealed his next project a few moments ago on the big stage of the Electronic Arts EA Play conference. The game features the title A Way Out and tells the tale of two men who want to escape from the prison with all their strength.
The game is conceived as a strictly co-op experience for two players, each player being governed by one of the two main characters who meet just in prison, only to create a deep link through the game and the joint effort to "jump over the wall".
Judging by the first trailer we come up with that the story seems to be a very important element of the game, and even though it is the production of a smaller, newly formed studio named Hazelight by Fares, the graphics of the game looks more than decent. Through the trailer we also testify that our two main figures will not be released by the police even when escaped from the prison, and from the outgrowth to the security guards they will cross the two-and-four-wheeled wheels in various forested areas. There is even sliding glass roofs on skyscrapers!
The game is conceived as a split-screen experience and the development team team claims it's the best way to play it, but if you do not have a friend at hand, there will be an online co-op option. Various scenes with which players will meet in the game to escape the prison will be able to play in many different ways. For example, while a player searches for a security guard in prison, the other one can begin a fight to create a diversion.
Unfortunately, this is not one of those announcements at the E3 ending with "The game is available right 'now'! A Way Out does not have an exact date of release - for now they just say it will go out somewhere in 2018.
