OpenIV Mod for GTA is back in operation
Two weeks ago, the popular mod-tools OpenIV for GTA was closed on the initiative of the publisher of the game Take-Two, who sent a letter with the demand to close the fashion and stop working on it. Now the mod completely returned to the system.
On the OpenIV page, the Download button works, after the authors of the mod agreed to accept the Take-Two conditions. The publisher claimed that this mod allowed the use of malicious mods in the network segment of GTA Online. Rockstar added that it has no problems with mods, but against those that can affect the ecosystem of GTA Online.
In an interview with Motherboard mod author acknowledged that OpenIV could potentially be used to implement mods in GTA Online, but the toolkit was not created for this purpose and the authors made it so that GTA Online could not be directly modified.
In light of the full return of OpenIV, the team will continue working on the mod.
