In Far Cry 5 co-op only one player keeps progress

  • 21

One of the main advantages of Far Cry 5 is the possibility of passing in a cooperative with a friend. Far Cry 4 also included a cooperative, but not as elaborate as here. True, there is still one catch, which became known from the German edition of Gamestar.

The progress of the campaign when passing through the cooperative will be maintained by only one player acting as a host. Reddit users have already expressed their resentment with a similar decision, citing as an example other games where the cooperative is better implemented.

Ubisoft itself has not yet commented on the situation, but it is hardly worth waiting for changes, even after such a sharp reaction from the community.

The release of Far Cry 5 will be held in February 2018 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

I hope they bring something good as much as previous titles...
That's, by far, one of the most important feature considering that most games don't have any co-op mode.

The campaign progress should probably be character-specific, unless there's a great need for keeping a single instance cohesive (ie. no playing alone in between coop sessions).

That doesen't make sense at all. This makes co-op in FC 5 pointless since one player can't progress. I would play it entirely in single player for that reason.

Day 1 patch incoming.
