The last thing you would link with League of Legends is Dutch soccer. However, those two have a link, and lawful proved. Namely, LoL hero by the name Striker Lucian shares many similarities in appearance with ex-Dutch soccer player Edgar Davids. And these similarities did not pass the one who sued Riot Games for unauthorized use of his appearance.

Surprisingly, Davids won a lawsuit against Riot, although attempts were made by the company to prove that players did not mix Lucian with the image and work of Edgar Davids. In support to Davids assertion went a tweet of former Riot QA analyst that in 2014 said that Striker Lucian was inspired by Edgar Davids.

It was decided at the court that Riot must reveal how much money they`ve earned from Striker Lucian skin, so accordingly it will also determine the compensation that League of Legends will have to pay to Edgar Davids.
