This summer blockbuster The Mummy did not really got celebrated at theaters, but the Universal House does not give up the creation of the monster universe. As part of that they have prepared a video game, but probably not the one you would expect. The Mummy Demaster is a 2D game of 16-bit style for PC, PS4, XBOX and Switch developed by Team WayForward, responsible for Shantae series.

In the game, we take on the role of a member of the Prodigium organization, which has the task of destroying the hordes of monsters of the evil princess Ahmanet. In the four-tier structure of the game, we will investigate tombs, forests, tunnels and the streets of London, killing the forces of darkness with a variety of weapons arsenal.

The release date for the game for now is not being mentioned, but WayForward says this Demaster can be expected soon, which is most likely to be by the end of 2017.
