Announced Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition

  • 27

Development team Beamdog obviously is specialized in remastering of BioWare games. After we've been given the Enhanced Release of Baldur's Gate, remaster they'll to us also 15 years old Neverwinter Nights. As with their previous works, do not expect a big graphics jump - Enhanced edition is primarily here to tailor the game to today's standards.

Interface in Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition will be scaled to the selected resolution, including resolutions up to 2160p. We will have more graphic options than the original, including settings for depth of field, contrast and similar. It is interesting that Enhanced edition will work with saved positions from the original, as well as with all modules and modes of 15 years old game.

The game on Steam should come "soon", perhaps even by the end of the year.

Keep the remake train a rollin'.  At least they remake good games and add to them.

Beamdog has been doing a pretty good job as far as I can tell. They're changing just the right amount of things for me- not going crazy and changing the game entirely, and at the same time, not just releasing the same old thing that we could just emulate.

Interstellar

Loved the original, it's great to see true remastered versions of the old great games. Beamdog's Baldur's Gate remaster was spot on, hoping this will be also.

Now just waiting that someone would make a remastered version of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.

Why not a remastered edition, this is a good idea.

The trailer seems to be good.

This is a game that was still perfectly playable. I hope they add a lot of QoL tweaks.

I just wish that modern games are as good as old ones.... I bet most games nowadays won't see any remastered editions except for "Remastered loot boxes"
