Skyrim got its remaster, and similar went through also Fallout 4 in the GOTY release. Chances that this will happen to Fallout 3 do not exist, and that is why the fans decided to take things into their own hands. This is how Capital Wasteland was made, a Fallout 3 remake within Fallout 4.

This huge modification has been under development for a while and will be further, but today we received the first trailer that shows us Washington and its surroundings in the Creation Engine, then a slightly different palette better than the original.

The mod is only planned for PC version of the game. Also, this is not the only venture of this kind since another group of modders is preparing a remake of Fallout: New Vegas, also within Fallout 4.

I still recall stepping into the wasteland of Fallout 3 ...and, looking at this trailer, Capital Wasteland is going to send me (happily) back.

Its just a small teaser, but oh ... so shiny.

I started Fallout 3 and gave up after 4/5 hours of game.

As long as it still has no karma system, missions always end in shootings without mutliple options and all places are only enemy shootouts with a loot box at the end, it still is as much fallout to me as Fallout 4 = 0% :/ PLEASE OBSIDIAN: RESCUE THE SERIES.
