Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is real, doesn't have multiplayer

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is in the works - and it doesn't have multiplayer.

CharlieIntel sources indicated Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is real after a listing for the game popped up on Amazon Italy for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One priced €19.99 with a 30th April release date. Eurogamer sources have backed this up.

CharlieIntel also reported Modern Warfare 2 Remastered does not include multiplayer. Eurogamer sources told us this is indeed true.

So, we can expect Modern Warfare 2 Remastered ahead of the release of Black Ops 4 in October, but the omission of the multiplayer portion of the game is curious given the enduring fan love for it, and the fact the successful Modern Warfare Remastered did include multiplayer.

It will also be interesting to see how Activision handles the re-release of Modern Warfare 2's infamous No Russian campaign level given the current climate.

No Russian, which sees the player control an undercover CIA agent who participates in a mass shooting at a Moscow airport to gain the trust of a Russian terrorist group, is one of the most controversial video game levels ever. The player is not required to kill any civilians, and is allowed to skip the level entirely without penalty, but that didn't stop No Russian from hitting the headlines across the global media back in 2009.

This is great news if it is true.
Still they would sell it separately from the game, but the chance is only 1%

Now we not only get the yearly Call of Duty game, but also a remaster in-between.

We don't want that someone could get CoD withdrawal.... :D

Activision full bottom, pull money from the players for the stab. And not little will those who will buy.

Who wants to bet there'll be a £20 online pass a couple of months after release? No doubt it'll be another £20 for the base game multiplayer maps, and another £20 for a handful of the DLC maps.

I sincerely hope that will not happen....
