See what Egress looks like, a new RPG that blends Dark Souls with a battle royale genre
Announced earlier this year, Egress is a new multiplayer RPG with Souls style fighting, while matches take place in a battle royale style with one winner at the end. Rather than having some kind of circle shrinking and directing players to a specific part of the map, in this battle royale, players are climbing higher through the Victorian streets of the city (something that reminds of Bloodborne) so not to be swallowed by water.
Today we got the first gameplay video from the game, and although graphically it looks pretty good, the animation of the characters are still a bit stiff and not smooth. However, it is worth to have it in mind that these are the first displays from early, alpha version.
The game is announced for release later this year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and if with this gameplay video you got intrigued you can sign up for a beta test on the official web.
