The weirdest Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals
For the past few days, we've been highlighting the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals we've found for PC gaming. Along the way we've also found a lot of other deals that don't fit comfortably in our typical categories. These are weird deals, but weird doesn't mean bad except in certain cases when it definitely does.
As we brace ourselves for the end of this spending holiday, here are some of the weirder deals we've found that some of us, and some of you, might actually still want.
Mountain Dew Scented Controller-Shaped Bath Bomb
The truncated title above does not do this product justice, so I suggest you read the entire title, which is "Mtn Dew Scented Game Controller PS3 Nintendo Xbox Bath Bomb, Fortnite, Fallout 76 Nerd Bath Bomb Gift For Men Kid Bath Bomb Gamer Gifts."
And that title is no lie: it really is the perfect gift for Gamer, Men, Kid, and Fallout 76 Nerd. Also, Fortnite! Just Fortnite. But no matter which Men or Kid you give this to, they'll enjoy its controller shape and they'll love sinking into a bath amidst the relaxing scent of Mountain Dew, which I honestly didn't even know was a scent until today. Bathe, relax, and smell like a caustic yellow-green soda.
My snark aside, these bath bombs are quite highly reviewed by customers. Normally $12.99, it's marked down to $10.39.
USB-powered (Extremely Mini) Fridge
If you want to keep up to two drinks cool at the same time, this extremely tiny mini fridge that plugs into your USB port might be your dream come true. It even looks like a real fridge, although obviously much, much smaller. It holds more than one drink (it holds two drinks), and if you're not into cold beverages, it can also keep almost three drinks (two drinks) warm. Walmart has it for $33.55, which is nearly half-price.
Artisan Keycap Fidget Spinner
Fidget Spinners briefly became all the rage before entering our planet's overstuffed landfills by the tens of thousands, but they're back, only smaller and stuck on your keyboard keys. These itty bitty Hammer Fidget Spinner Artisan Keycaps come in a number of designs like Cheetah, Strawberry Splatter, and Watermelon Transparent, and are perfect if you're tired of just pressing your Escape key and want to flick it instead.
Normally $30 each, they're $19.99 for a limited time. I never bought a fidget spinner myself because spinning things doesn't appeal to me, but I can definitely see myself fidgeting with these little time-passers.
Digital 2-in-1 Potty with Activity Seat for iPad
It's never too early to teach your toddler important life skills, like how to shit while texting. That's what makes this 2-in-1 potty with an iPad stand such a smart investment. Your child can learn to poop in the right place while using the iPad to scroll through insta. I can't imagine what could go wrong with an untrained child pooping while using an electronic device, can you? You can boil iPads, right?
But don't take my word for it because I'm childless and will die alone and unloved. Instead, just check out how excited the child who was poorly photoshopped onto the potty looks! He's having a blast dumping out while clapping back on Twitter. This kid is gonna grow up just fine. Normally $40, it's only $19.99.
Twelve South BookBook Caddysack
Twelve South's BookBook stuff is cool: they look like books but they're for putting electronics inside, which makes them better than books since books are usually just filled with words.
This attractive case basically looks like a bible so you can walk around holding it, daring anyone to initiate a conversation with you. Meanwhile, only you know the truth: that 'bible' is really fully of neatly packaged USB cables, earbuds, charging cords, and other cables and adapters. Perfect! The CaddySack is $39.99, marked down from $50.
Twinkling Stars Skirt
If you're the type of gamer who likes every part of your PC lit up with LEDs, from mice to fans to keyboards to headsets, an inevitable problem arises. You need to leave your PC and go somewhere and practically none of your clothes are wired with dozens of blinking lights. Now what?
This skirt has you covered in more ways than one. With 250 LED lights and 45 feet of wire, you'll look positively heavenly. The skirt is based on a real star chart and all those lights add plenty of twinkle. Plus, it's marked way down from $55 to just $10, meaning you can be a star while saving money.
Centipede Board Game
There's always been plenty of crossover between video games and board games, but I wouldn't have expected Atari's 1981 classic vertical shooter arcade game Centipede to make an appearance on the tabletop. And yet, it has, for 2 or 4 players.
One player or team is the insect-killing gnome, the other being the centipede as it wriggles across the board. Weird! And yet, we're intrigued. Maybe Pong: The Board Game, will be next.
Yodelling Pickle
This is a pickle that yodels. It's been rated 656 times and has a 4.5 star average on Amazon. It's on sale for $12.86, marked down from $14.99. Batteries are included.
