The sequel will be called Survivalist: Invisible Strain and will follow up on the mechanics presented in the first game, Survivalist. Survivalist: Invisible Strain will include a sandbox mode and new features, and probably the game will also have a main story mode. Currently the sandbox mode consists of "a randomly generated map with simple quests but no main story", according to the developer. New features included in the sandbox mode, are:
"- Character customization
- Stealth takedowns
- Randomly generated quests
- Morale
- Cold
- Drunkenness
- Save tokens"

A playthrough video of the sequel was posted some days ago on YouTube by the game developer.

Survivalist is a base building and party management, survival, open-world post-apocalyptic zombie RPG, loaded with quests and side-missions.

The game is currently being developed by a single person, called "BOB THE P.R. BOT".

According to the developer, "Survivalist: Invisible Strain will be an RTS/RPG hybrid, available on Steam".

Currently there isn't a Steam game page for the sequel nor for its minimum system requirements.

The Steam game page for the original title can be found here. The indie game has been launched January the 15th in 2015, its recent reviews on Steam are very high (90%) and it's currently being sold for US$ 4,99.

What do you think about this? Did you know about Survivalist? Are you interested in playing the sequel?
