To see how good F: NV looks like, just download the package prepared by the modifier with the nickname DcCharge, which four times increases the resolution of up to 13 thousand textures in the basic game and another 2,000 in add-ons. The set is missing, among others, interface and several locations, but the project is to be further developed. I have to admit that Gigapixel AI does a really good job! Check it yourself.

Another tool - ESRGAN (enhanced super resolution generative adverserial networks), is an upscaler that takes an low-res image and adds realistic details to it. By doing it over several passes with the goal of fooling its adverserial part, it will usually produce an image with more fidelity and realism than past methods.
