Sega acquires Two Point Studios

JavierGreen | 05/09/2019

Two Point Studios has joined the Sega family. Sega Europe today announced that it has acquired the Farnham-based developer of Two Point Hospital.

Two Point Hospital launched last August to impressive sales and positive reviews. It was the debut title from Two Point, which was founded in 2016 by Mark Webley, Gary Carr, and Ben Hymers.

The now 17-strong team at Two Point Studios, was formed in 2016 by Gary Carr, Mark Webley, and Ben Hymers. All three previously worked at Lionhead Studios (known for the likes of Fable and Black & White), while Carr and Webley were both once part of legendary British developer Bullfrog Productions, the studio responsible for Theme Park, Theme Hospital, Dungeon Keeper, Magic Carpet, and Syndicate, among other incontestable classics.

According to Sega, Two Point Studios has several "exciting unannounced projects" in the works, and more news on those will be shared soon. Anxious to know what surprises Sega and Tow Point Studios have prepared for us.
