Red Dead Redemption Remake is already in the works, according to recent leak

Red Dead Redemption is to receive a remake, which is equipped with many new features. I least one user on Reddit, who knows a developer according to his own words.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been well received by the fans of the Wild West. The mix of desert, easter eggs, firefights and own horse was a great success for Rockstar. Now, a (new) user on Reddit claims to have heard something about a remake of the first part.

Throwaway11113454 (sounds not like a throwaway account at all - ha) is said to be friends with one of the developers, an environment designer. This is working on a RDR2 Story DLC, which will be released first quarter 2020. In keeping with the UFO easter egg, this is all about aliens.

There is also news on the first part of the Wild West adventure. Red Dead Redemption Remaster is supposed to be a complete remake. The map should be bigger and all features from the new game will be included in the RDR remake:

 And for Red Dead Redemption remastered is not actually a remaster, it’s a remake. All the new features from the new game are going to be imported into RDR 1

According to the statement on Reddit, 2/3 of the Red Dead Online team have now been removed to work on the remake. There should also be a release period: December 2020 or January 2021. It could even come a little earlier - but that has not been decided yet.
