Pearl Abyss have announced a new MMORPG, Crimson Desert

Recently at G-Star in South Korea, Pearl Abyss have revealed a new upcoming MMO that's a spiritual successor to their previous titles (BDO). Crimson Desert started as a prequel of sorts to Black Desert Online, as the team wanted to explore past events that took place in the BDO universe, but over time CD evolved into a new unique project, and they decided to to create new lands, narratives and characters. Crimson Desert will be more focused on storytelling than BDO (it will have a full fledged single player story campaign, and throughout the story you'll play as different mercenaries each of them having their own personal traits and stories to tell as well as gear, weapons and mechanics), it will also have more traditional MMO content (mostly like it will focus on PvE conent more, but it will also feature PvP), it will have similar features to BDO such as life skills, trading, exploration and it will also feature action combat (which shouldn't really come as a surprise considering BDO's robust combat system).

For now there's no official release date as the game's still in development but we know the title's going to be released on PC and consoles.
