Steam Halloween 2016 Sale
It's that time of the month boys to give to Lord GabeN your hard earned money. It's time for all the discounted spooky and spoopy games. The sale runs until November 1st PDT so make sure you plan accordingly and don't screw yourself over on November 1st with time zones.
Not sure what to buy? Nathan Grayson from Kotaku recommends a couple.
If you need recommendations, I’d say go for The Darkness II (not as good as the original, but at 80 percent off it’s a steal), Darkest Dungeon, Layers of Fear, SOMA, Oxenfree, and the Metro Redux bundle. Older games like Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines and System Shock 2 are also tantalizingly cheap right now.
I can't vouch for any of these games unfortunately. Not a huge horror game fan... because I'm a wimp. I did have plans with my friends to get Darkest Dungeon but decided otherwise because general consensus was game was mindless grind. It might be completely different now though. There isn't that many discounts for these games but cheaper is still cheaper. Wouldn't consider BioShock or LIMBO horror games either though. I'm sure everyone already has played the Dead Space series. I'd always recommend the Amnesia series, they're $5 each and definitely quite an experience. Still haven't finished a Machine for Pigs though. Game's terrifying. And let's not forget Outlast. The sequel is set for next year so for those who haven't experienced the first, now is a great chance to grab it and experience the horror.
Steam was also nice enough to have a little grouping of games that received Halloween updates. Most of it is silly stuff like the Wuppo Halloween Update (Wuppo is a great game by the way). But hey, free updates!
Which games are you guys planning to get and highly recommend? Any particular ones we should avoid?
