Maybe it just hasn't synchronized that yet since they both do that independently as far as I know. The event hours update only a few times a day but I don't know exactly how often.

Steam quests check every hour on the hour. Event hours are checked every 3hrs from 0:00 UTC.

Are you sure you could do the same game for both? I could've sworn you could only do one, not both at the same time. The event already ended today anyway.
