Reward Expired - So Annoyed
I had $75.00 in Dell rewards points expire.
I'm pretty sure they used to send out emails saying you have points that expire on this date.
This time I received no emails.
I called Dell's "customer service" and they never did answer if they send out emails or not, and told me there was nothing they could do.
I was saving my rewards points to make a purchase this month, but now I have to reconsider as it will cost me an extra $75.00 out of pocket.

I have never received an email about points expiring that i know of. I just check on dell.com and make a note on my calendar; they make it pretty easy to see how much and when.

I always make a note on my email calandar to redeem them into cash just before they expire and that way I get an additional 90 days to use it.

This is what I've been talking about with points being forced to expire within a duration of the months. It would've been simpler to allow us to save all DRP until they could be used because the money always goes back to Dell. That's awful.

So first, I feel your pain. And I agree that the short 90 day expiration of Dell points is super stupid and customer hostile. I do, however, get advance emails about points expiring. ...

I'm not sure but maybe the rewards expiration warnings are considered a marketing opt in communication (just for dell rewards) https://www.dell.com/myaccount/en-us/account-settings/manage-communications

and in the US, points expire on the 15th of the month. so pro tip to extend them is after the 1st and before the 15th of that month, convert them to Dell dollars which last another 90 days.

Consider it a life lesson. With any rewards program, never rely 100% on it to keep you updated about your expiration dates.

@VenturousGamer - Which nation are you in? 🤨 Most retail and restaurant reward programs in the USA have expirations for their rewards.
